Research Lines

  • Research on environmental history and political ecology.
  • Digital Humanities: digitizing archives, collections, documents, photographs and objects related to the water and environmental history of the region.
  • Development and adaptation of open source technologies for the preservation and management of digital objects.
  • Collaboration with public institutions and local organizations to recover and restore archives, patrimony, and documents related to water.

Our current focus is on identifying, cataloging, and ditigizing the document collections of the Archivo Histórico del Agua of the Departamento General de Irrigación of the Province of Mendoza. We are also developing and applying online platforms to make this patrimony available to a broad public.
